Response 1 (8/26/13)

I am currently reading Insurgent, which is the sequel to the book that my class read for summer reading. My personal question from our work in class last week is “what kind of genres do I enjoy the most?” I have tried to branch out with many different genres, and I can’t seem to find one that I love the most. I usually read books with lots of drama and action in it because those kinds of books tend to keep me focused and involved with the books plot. For example, Insurgent and Divergent are filled with violence, love, conflict, competition, and bravery.
I have been thinking about reading The List by Siobhan Vivian. My neighbor recommended this book to me. The genre of this book is fiction. I also have noticed that I enjoy fiction books in which the plot could never happen in the real world. Like, the main character having some special power or characteristic about them.  I am going to try to start reading nonfiction books to see how I like them.
