Summer reading response

Divergent has become my favorite book. I stayed up many nights reading Divergent, and I could never put it down. I started reading the book at my friend Sophie's camp the same time she started it, and we would read together and discuss everything that was happening. It was also fun to see our reactions together. I liked this book because It is filled with action and mysteries. As I was reading, I got a thrill of sort of wanting to be dauntless because of all the dangerous, thrilling action and the things that they had to do on a daily basis that were life threatening.
I really got hooked on this book whenever Tris' aptitude test came out as divergent, which is very rare and dangerous. The mystery of not knowing what "divergent" meant kept me constantly reading and wanting to know more. I also liked how in the book many secrets kept unfolding. Also, reading about Tris' relationships with her friends and teachers excited me. My favorite part in the entire book was whenever Tris first jumped onto the moving train the day she chose dauntless, because it gave me an idea that things would definitely not be dull or boring at the dauntless chambers. I tend to read books with lots of drama in a way, and Divergent is defiantly an eye opener.

  1. I was just like you Audrey! On many days through out the summer, I stayed up reading because I couldn't put it down. I also was wondering the same thing you were, which was the meaning of Divergent and why it was so dangerous. This was a great book, and I'm glad you are reading the next book, Insurgent. You will love it just as much!
